Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. DRCT’s website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.0 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

ADDITIONAL ACCESSIBILITY CONSIDERATIONS

While our website does meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA conformance, some of our content is accessible to the disability community in ways that may not be compatible with web accessibility. For example, we have information and videos in ASL and/or with ASL interpretation, which is not always compatible with certain website features. Additionally, we strive to provide in-person interpretation services at events, translation services for one-on-one client calls, and CART services (real-time captioning) for virtual engagements. We share translations of publications upon request, as well as alt text across website and social media content whenever possible.
